So my loving fiance has been asking me what I would like in celebration of my birth this month. I've told him things like, boots, heels, tennis shoes, a juicer but really I don't need anything. We're already paying for our wedding and we need to be saving money. BUT, I finally came up with an answer for him.
See these beauties? They are Mark's shoes that he's had since we dated the FIRST time.... 2 YEARS AGO.
He wears them everywhere and he refuses to buy new ones. And yes. In case you are wondering, that IS a hole in the side, and yes, the do smell.
Anyway... I told Mark that he can buy himself a new pair of shoes and throw these ones away. That is what I want for my birthday. Will he do it? Probably not. Apparently he's severely emotionally attached to them and it would be like a pet dying if he threw them away.
Just wait until we're married. One day he'll come home and they'll be gone. :)
