Last night Mark and I went on a double date with one of his co-workers that he set up with one of his friends. We had dinner at chili's and had decided to meet up with the other couple at 7 to go ice skating. We had some time to kill after dinner so we headed over to DSW to look around. (love me some shoooooeeess) As we were perusing the selection we can across a pair of Steve Madden wedges that were priced at $49.95, originally $79.99. The best part? They had a yellow sticker. Guess what the yellow sticker meant? 80% off!!! Which means I got myself a really cute pair of Steve Madden wedges for summer for only $10!! Score. While we were there I even got Mark to look at new shoes! He didn't buy anything... but mostly because he had to hurry to get to the ice skating rink.
As we're get back into the car we see it's 7:15. We're late. Being the wonderfully awesome person Mark is, he left his phone at home. This put in a predicament. We had no way of contacting our couple and letting them know we would be late.
We hurried to the rink and didn't find them there. We debated going back to Mark's house and getting his phone (which I suggested we did after dinner but he refused). Luckily, Blair and her date showed up right as we were walking out to the car.
I love ice skating. It takes me a couple minutes to get used to the ice and the skates, but after that I'm fine and I can go forever.
This was Mark.
He was so concentrated on NOT falling that he stuck his tongue out and kept making this face.
It was really funny to watch him, but he didn't fall once! I on the other hand fell once, only because we were holding hands and I was trying to show him how to stop. Not smart. I stopped, he didn't, he's bigger, I fell. Still, it was a fun night!
